The mauser listed on this page is a Swedish M96 manufactured at the Carl Gustafs stads Gevärsfaktori in Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1913. This rifle is chambered in the hard hitting and very accurate 6.5x55 round. Every part on this rifle matches except the front and rear barrel bands. These rifle were especially known for their accuracy compared to some other makes of mausers. The metal used in these rifles was of very high quality high grade tool steel alloyed with nickel, copper, and vanadium, a product noted for its strength and corrosion resistance. Every aspect of this rifle is in excellent condition.
