The rifle shown here is a Chilean M1895 Mauser manufactured by Loewe Berlin in Germany in 1895. All the Loewe 1895 Chilean rifles were made in 1895 and any made after that point were made by DWM. This rifle is chambered in 7X57mm. It has a 29.60" barrel with a 5 round flush mount box magazine. This rifle is not a complete matching specimen but is still a nice example that is complete, except it is missing the cleaning rod. The receiver still retains the Chilean crest with a Chilean crest cartouche on the butt stock. I would probably rate the metal finish at 80-85%. The wood has many battle scars, but is complete with no cracks. The bore is a little dark with very pronounced lands and grooves. The serial number range is in the G block of numbers.
