The rifle posted on this page is an Argentine Model 1891 Mauser. It was manufactured by Loewe Berlin of Germany. The rifle is in excellent condition (Metal and Wood) and still has all the cartouches on the stock still intact. The Argentine crest has been scrubbed from the receiver, but that is a common occurrence with the Model 1891 when it was imported out of Argentina. All numbers match on this rifle, right down to the cleaning rod. The bore is in excellent condition as well. This is a well preserved and lightly used example of a fine military battle Mauser rifle.
