The rifle listed on this page is a Italian M38 Terni Short Rifle. This rifle was developed for the Finnish Army when they were fighting the Russians shortly before the beginning of WWII. This rifle had been sporterized when I picked it up. I brought it home and when about restoring it to its original full battle dress glory. I was able to purchase original period correct parts from a number of different suppliers and spent a good amount of time refinishing the ordered stock and refinishing the metal that had been worn down to the white. The only part that have failed to locate for this rifle is the front sling swivel nut on the rear barrel band. I have the band, bolt and sling swivel, but need the nut to complete the job. The gun looks nothing like the one I came home with.
